300L Hybrid Still

A hybrid still is a still that is capable of switching between running as a pot still and a column still as a hybrid still. It is a combination of a pot still and a column still, which are often linked together with piping, and diverter valves. Turning on or off certain valves permits different process paths, with each path containing its own distillation properties.

Hybrid stills can be used to produce a variety of different spirits which is why they are becoming increasingly popular with craft distilleries.

Hybrid stills offer versatility, functioning as a simple pot still, a stripping still, or a column still. As a type of commercial alcohol distilling equipment, they are designed for efficiency and adaptability. By using three-way valves, you can control the path of the spirit vapors, enabling you to bypass specific sections as needed.

For instance, when distilling gin, you would keep the gin basket open and pass the vapors through the first column or opt to use just four bubble plates. During a quick stripping run, you can bypass all components except the helmet and Lyne arm.
